I’ve tried inconsistently to get closer to the middle splits for about 25 years. I’ve never been able to go lower than about 6 inches from the ground. Maybe this pose isn’t possible for everyone? I never feel a big stretch in my groin/pelvis area. It just feels like my bones are saying, “well, this is as far as we go”. If this is something I’m going to continue working towards, I’m going to have to figure out new things to try. I’ve been researching anatomy and alignment in yoga more lately which I know will be helpful. Anyone have any tips that have worked for you?
